About Ferris Housing Authority

The Housing Authority of the City of Ferris was established in 1971 by the Mayor and City Council. The Housing Authority is governed by a board of commissioners.

The Ferris Housing Authority administers 36 Public Housing units. The Housing Authority does not have the Section 8 Voucher Program. The Housing Authority is currently accepting applications for two bedrooms families. To be eligible for a two bedroom unit, the occupancy is a minimum of two (2) and a maximum of four (4) family members.

The mission of the Ferris Housing Authority is to provide decent, safe and sanitary housing for eligible elderly and families, and to promote self-sufficient and economic independence for residents.
